Sony is at the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) Expo here in Atlanta, and we've just kicked off the show with several key product announcements during our press conference.
Focused on smaller electronics dealers and custom installers, CEDIA traditionally caters to the high-end, enthusiast crowd looking for the very best home entertainment equipment. Sony delivered with new BRAVIA HDTVs and front projectors, as well as Elevated Standard (ES) receivers and, possibly the biggest news of the show, a network connected Blu-ray Disc Player with the BRAVIA Internet Video platform integrated into the unit.
The new slim and stylish BRAVIA XBR10 LED LCD models are downright stunning and offer wireless high-definition, allowing sources like a set top cable box or Blu-ray disc player to be hidden away across the room.
Internet connectivity is all the buzz in our industry and Sony continues to lead with our BRAVIA Internet Video platform. Now, not only can BRAVIA HDTV owners get connected to streaming internet video from the likes of Netflix (which will launch later this fall) YouTube, and Slacker Internet radio, but our new BDP-N460 Blu-ray player also brings that content home. For those dedicated theater buffs, our new VPL-VW85 projector is also being unveiled. It features 120,000:1 contrast ratio for outstanding black reproduction and detail.
Keep an eye out for these products at retail shortly.
