Instant Gratification in the Form of a Real Life Picture

author Sukhjit posted 10/22/2009

Today I get to do something really cool, I'm going to show you a brand new two-in-one device from Sony. It's the S-Frame digital photo frame and printer, just announced in the United States today. If you watch the video here you can see the frame-printer in action. It features a 7-inch LCD screen and actually let's you print out photos. This is where the instant gratification comes in. Most photo frames let you view pictures in various modes. But what's so great about this device is that when you see a picture you like during the slideshow, you just press print and in less than a minute you're holding a 4x6-inch photo print in your hands.

So here are some basics you should know about the digital photo frame-printer (aka DPP-F700)

7-inch LCD screen

4 x 6-inch professional quality 300 x 300 dpi prints

various modes like slideshow or album

holds up to 2000 photos (approximately 2MP file size) on internal 1GB memory

print anytime during the slideshow

i was really hoping this would be available before Christmas, it would make the perfect gift for my parents. They have a lot of grandchildren and they love to take pictures of them and show them off. Also, anyone complaining that its too is obviously not taking into account the ability to print any photo instantly on something no bigger than a standard size wired telephone. Apparently everyone expects to display and print full size 4x6 photos on something the size of a cell phone.
